Although the forest almost always seems still and near silent, while you were away, these events occurred with a lot of somehow terrifying noise.
The added artificial light acts as a resonance, in the eye of the viewer, of the focal point from where once thundered disturbing sound waves. It also inscribes the presence of the photographer in the image, bringing forward the photographic act of making, defining the landscape.
This series is a meditation about the blows of fate that seem to hit randomly around us, surrounded by what often looks like a sea of indifference, by what might only be the uninterruptible flow of life and time.
